Correct and efficient capability analysis according to VDA 5 with Com.IPM
Measurement uncertainty budget for meaningful information
A central element in Com.IPM is the measurement uncertainty budget according to VDA 5. It summarizes the calculated standard uncertainties assuming an additive measurement model to represent the qualification of the measuring system and measurement process. The software calculates any measurement uncertainties on the basis of VDA 5. Standard uncertainties that contribute the most to the measurement uncertainty can be quickly identified via ranking and identified for possible optimizations or conclusions. You analyse standard uncertainties by using additional information and the relevant capability indices displayed in this software for proof of capability according to VDA 5.
Com.IPM offers a preselection of measurement process models and the associated standard uncertainties. These refer to the definitions in VDA 5 to simplify the procedure. In addition to a selection of the stored measurement process models in accordance with VDA 5, an individual selection of the standard uncertainties is also possible, which you can use to perform the proof of suitability in accordance with VDA 5.
Practical import of existing data
In many cases, measurement data for the measurement system (method 1, linearity analysis) or the measurement process (method 2, method 3, stability analysis) are already available, so these can be imported in common formats (csv, dfq, txt, …).
This step is particularly suitable if you want to achieve a quick result for the proof of suitability of test processes based on existing data. Subsequent entry of basic, planning and preparation data is possible at any time.
The measurement data can already be displayed in characteristic graphics during import. The data sources are selected in a user-guided dialog and any necessary modifications to the header data can still be made. A graphical preview of the selected data for the import shows the selected measurement data.
If the import only contains header data and no measurement data, this can be added in Com.IPM. In order to do this, the planned type of recording must be defined (selection of the procedure and the necessary recording criteria in order to build up the matrix). An import (copy-paste) is also possible via the clipboard.
Measurement uncertainty budget for teh display of results, additional information and further analysis options
The software helps users create the measurement uncertainty budget in an easy and efficient way. However, the measurement uncertainty budget is not only a result display in Com.IPM, but offers assistance and guidenance to the users. They may open additional explanatory information and graphics, add accompanying documents (e.g. calibration certificate), access the inspection equipment database and modify interactively the measurement uncertainty budget. You can subsequently add, deselect or change standard uncertainties in order to investigate influences on the uMS measurement system and/or the uMP measurement process or to load or enter new data records.
The analysis results in Com.IPM, especially those of the measurement uncertainty analysis, not only document the proof of suitability of the measurement and inspection processes(QMS and QMP as well as TMIN-UMS and TMIN-UMP) in accordance with VDA 5, but the available data from the MSA studies (measurement system analysis) can also be used to display corresponding reports.
All in all, Com.IPM enables users to automate their proof of suitability for test processes, while remaining standard-compliant at all times and having the option of preparing reports. The software enables holistic VDA 5 implementation in series production.
