Depending on the requirements and initial situation, Com.IPM, an intuitive quality management software for inspection planning, reporting and analysis, enables a wide variety of entry points for measurement and inspection process management, the procedure for planning and for implementing the proof of capability. This depends on the respective application. You might have data or studies available that need to be considered. The necessary level of detail of the study you planned is also important. In some cases, you will need a risk analysis. And you have to decide whether or not it is possible to connect an inspection equipment database and if so, whether you want to connect it. In addition, you either start the process by simply planning an inspection or by going through all stages of the process right to comprehensive reporting.
There are separate bundles of function blocks for each entry point (inspection planning, measurement process planning, selection of measurement equipment, proof of capability for the measuring system, proof of capability for the measurement process and reporting) to guide you through the respective inspection process management tasks in a targeted manner. The entry points are interconnected, but do not necessarily have to be completed in full.
Some functions and information can be found in various entry points. They do not have to be entered again during subsequent processing, but Com.IPM automatically takes them from data that has already been entered, imported or assigned. This means that the other entry points is already filled with data from other applications.
The intuitive quality management software for inspection planning, reporting and analysis offers quick access to studies that have already been started or completed in the start menu in order to process them further or view the results. Filter and sorting criteria support quick selection and loading of existing studies.
The “Info” icon can be found allover Com.IPM. You use it to display additional descriptive information/documents, explanations of the standard uncertainties (in the measurement uncertainty budget) or recommendations and references.

Selecting one of the entry points takes you directly to the work area of the respective application.
Com.IPM guides the user through the input of data and function areas using an intuitive structure. The header contains the main menu items or function blocks based on specific applications. You can switch between them at any time. The left-hand status bar shows which work step you are currently in.
The circle shows the current status:
- Filled circle = data recorded
- Empty circle = no data available yet
The status bar of the quality management software is also used for navigation and allows you to switch the central work area. If there are several product characteristics in a study, a list of characteristics can be displayed to navigate between them.
