Expertise, networking and innovation for quality assurance
The Control Expert Days 2026 set new standards for professional exchange in industrial quality assurance. On 20 and 21 May 2026, the QA community gathered at the Messe Stuttgart exhibition centre to discuss the latest developments, best practices and future trends. For specialists and managers in production, quality and measurement technology, the event offered a compact platform with a strong practical focus. The team of ComPro GmbH played an active role in shaping the programme.

Industrial quality assurance is undergoing constant change, as digitalisation, automation, artifical intelligence and new regulatory requirements are having a significant impact on processes and methods. This is precisely where the Control Expert Days 2026 came in. The new format complemented the established international trade fair for quality assurance, Control, and created a space for focused knowledge transfer. Participants benefited from specialist presentations, a trade exhibition, panel discussions and targeted networking, enabling them to gain plenty of fresh ideas for their daily work.
AI and sustainability in quality assurance as a key theme
The first day of the Control Expert Days 2026 was dedicated to the theme of “Quality Management and Sustainability”, a topic of direct relevance to manufacturing companies: efficient inspection processes reduce waste, structured measuring system analyses improve process stability, and together these contribute to resource conservation and cost optimisation. Expert speakers from various industrial sectors presented concrete approaches on how these goals can be achieved in operational practice.
On the second day, the focus shifted to another key topic: “AI in quality assurance: how far have we come?” examined the current state of the technology and discussed real-world application scenarios and their limitations. Edgar Dietrich took part in the accompanying panel discussion on behalf of ComPro GmbH. The discussion centred on questions regarding the reliability of results and trust in AI systems.
ComPro at the Control Expert Days 2026
ComPro had its own stand at the trade exhibition, where it showcased its Com.IPM software. The programme offers a solution that comprehensively maps measurement processes within a company and presents them in clear dashboards. Many visitors took the opportunity to exchange ideas and engage in in-depth technical discussions.
On the Expert Stage, Dr Edgar Dietrich and Michael Wagner gave a presentation demonstrating how inspection process management can be structured and implemented efficiently in accordance with VDA 5. The focus was on the Com.IPM software solution, which supports companies in everything from building a robust database and conducting reliable measuring system analyses to ensuring sustainable quality assurance and reducing costs.
Conclusion: Control Expert Days as a key platform for quality assurance
ComPro founder Dr Edgar Dietrich, was present at the very first Control in Sinsheim and has attended the event every year since. Given that Control will in future only take place every two years, he considers it essential to devote sufficient attention to the topic of quality assurance on an annual basis. We therefore welcome the Control Expert Days as a valuable format that ensures continuity in the intervening years. The Control Expert Days 2026 have proven to be a valuable event for discussing the latest developments in quality assurance in detail.
