37th Control – a review

Lots of interesting discussions at Control trade fair 2025

From May 6 to 9, 2025, ComPro GmbH was represented at the Control trade fair for quality assurance for the first time. As a co-exhibitor at the Testo Industrial Services GmbH stand, we were able to welcome many interested visitors and hold numerous discussions about the software, our training program and future developments in quality assurance.

ComPro Highlights

One highlight was the presentation by Dr.-Ing. Edgar Dietrich in the exhibitor forum. Under the title ‘Implementing inspection equipment management according to VDA 5 using software technology’, he presented the ComPro software solution Com.IPM and explained many important aspects from the 3rd edition of VDA Volume 5 on the management and assessment of measurement and inspection processes in industrial production.

We welcomed many vistors and intriduced them to the main features of the Com.IPM software.

  • Proof of capability for measurement and inspection processes as well as comprehensive inspection process management
  • Risk-based approach to select procedures for the validation of test decisions
  • Access to an existing inspection equipment database or to a public database in which neutral measuring devices with MPE values or tests according to type-1 study are stored
  • Import of existing MSA studies and conversion into uncertainty components
  • Dashboard for the status of active measurement processes and monitoring their stability

Knowledge is a head start

Another focus during Control 2025 was on the requirements and future certification in accordance with IATF 16949. The ComPro team informed interested parties about upcoming developments in the world of standards that will have a significant impact on quality assurance in industrial production.

This includes the harmonized SPC manual, which is the result of a collaboration between AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) and VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry) and is expected to be published in 2025. There will also be a joint publication by the VDA and AIAG on the capability, planning and management of measurement and inspection processes, which is due to appear in 2026. These developments are crucial for the requirements that companies must meet for future certification in accordance with IATF 16949.

We informed visitors about our software solution to meet the new requirements and explained the ComPro training program, which is tailored to the latest developments and thus provides the necessary methodological expertise.
